Honeyblood

Honeyblood

written by: Aspen Campbell

Honeyblooded, saccharine
Sweetness that you’re dripping in
Tackiness against my skin
Sugar doesn’t hide your sin

Goldblooded, royalty
To your family, loyalty
Liquid gold feels oily
Laborless, I’m toiling

Yellowblooded, commonplace
Crown is lifted from your face
Targets on your temples, traced
Elitists won’t give you grace

Urineblooded, repulsive
Saving face is compulsive
Answer-making impulsive
Honeybloods won’t let you live
