It’s Never Too Late
written by: Dido Fik
Don’t wait until I get sick
Don’t wait until I’m weak
Don’t wait until I die
Don’t wait until I lose someone
Ask how I’m doing at least once in a while.
Open your door and welcome me
Don’t shut your door on me
Feed me when I’m hungry
Know my struggle shall pass too
It is only temporary.
Don’t throw stones at my back
Nudge me when I lag behind
Hold me when I’m down
Appreciate my value while I’m still around.
Don’t wait until it’s too late
Comfort me when I’m in pain
Root for me when you see me thrive
Don’t dig a grave to bury me alive
Don’t wait to weep at my funeral
Show me that you care while I’m still around.
