Navigating this never ending maze
slamming into walls at every turn
reaching dead ends again and again
the overwhelming darkness
floods my brain
the walls close in suffocating me
stuck inside this box
with no way
and no exit sign,
only white walls and chaos
closing in on me
with no hope of escape
L. M. Giannone is a writer and poet living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally from Southern Connecticut, Lisa transplanted herself in California to escape the harsh winters and summers of New England.
