Magic

Magic

written by: Mel Andela

With snow falling gently
And lights on the tree
With ornaments shining
Some made by me

With decorations around
Some old and some new
And favourite books of the season
We wait for the year through

That touch of bright magic
Glints in the air
You don’t see but you feel it,
Know that it’s there

In the ribbons and bows
Holly and boughs
In the carols we sing
With joyous abound

In the warm glow of lights
On packages packed
To bring joy to others
Our thought and love wrapped

In the stockings we hang
That get filled like a trick
In the cookie plate crumbs
That mean magic exists

In the moments we sit
Just looking up at the tree
The lights glowing soft
It’s Christmas magic we see
