Pen Muses

A penny, a paperclip and some lint

Under round crafty eye
Life…gawks
Twists and turns
Takes a gander
Of my fluffy fibers
On her long poetic fingers

Blush nascent, A Felt
I’m guileless

Raw…dewy-eyed
I beam, at every toss and turn
A rag doll play on her hands

Skilled her eye
Sizes a needle to pick and poke
Each warp and weft
Sculpting each shred
Carving every bristle of mine

Designs an existence
Shapes me in her flair of creation
