Ravenous

Ravenous

stoic
found
solace
in delight

unaware
oxymoron

why do you
savagely devour
yourself — similar
to a helpless
ouroboros

who not only
resigns itself
into a battle
of two halves
that refuse to bind
a concrete self

essentially — it’s a struggle
that will never be surrounded
by the tethered appreciation
of fallen crimson roses

a tragic fate
— what happens
to those souls?

who merely
existed for humanity
to utilize as an example
of authentic atrocities?

perspective
should lead to hope
— frightful if it vanished.
