I won’t be bullied,
I won’t be told,
I will remain in tact,
I will never be cold.
I won’t wait to live,
I won’t stand in line,
I will lift my head up high,
I will smile and shine.
You may throw hard words,
You may be snide,
But I won’t be hurt,
And I will not hide.
Keep discussing a life
You know nothing about,
I will notice it all,
But I won’t scream and shout.
I dare you to be kind,
For your own happy ending,
I’m the same as I was,
I just gave up pretending.
I’ve picked myself up
After a nasty fall,
So if you can’t be nice
Then say nothing. At all.
