SANCTUARY SHORN

SANCTUARY SHORN

written by: Roland Juthman

You believe the lies you spout
You’re honest and true, like the UN soldiers at Srebrenica,
you really are

You spin lies without malice
You’re good and valiant, like the UN soldiers at Srebrenica,
you really are

You will abandon when most needed
You’re stalwart and safe, like the UN soldiers at Srebrenica,
you really are

You will carry me forever in your mind
You’re doomed, like the UN soldiers at Srebrenica
you really are

I wish I could forgive you,
I try to
I really do

I write. Mostly poetry and short stories. Have an affinity for quick-fire poetry. I write to unlock, to uncover, and to find truths. That is also why I read. For a living, I work as an editor within the educational publishing industry.
