September Morn

thank you dog for taking me out
on a nice September morning
fogs drift low
in the golden sun
it feels like a real good dawning
but a constant flow of traffic noise
cars and planes
thank god no trains
and poison spraying tractor boys
desecrate the sentiment
oh thank you dog
let’s pick it up…
I am an amateur writer of poetry and short fiction, mainly in German but also in English. I started writing at the feeble age of 53 years, that was three years ago.
