Soldier

Soldier

Fighting in the battlefields,

Getting wounded in the process,

Each way I turn,

A new battle began

leaving me with scars to remember

my past battles whether I won the war or lost the war

I still carry my pride knowing that I gave it my all

and I will continue to fight in the battlefields

although sometimes the demons try to take over

but I remember how far I’ve come in this battle,

and say to myself you can’t quit you’re a soldier

don’t let anyone tell you different.

so every day when I wake up I wear that uniform with Pride,

as I enter the battlefields and say to myself

I’m ready to fight this war and win

’cause I’m a soldier.
