Tangles

Memories rustle in her,
but she knows
he is where he belongs –
with the one he doesn’t love
but is with,
with the one
he cheats on.

Bathed, rested,
ready for new experiences,
every day
he went out to handle affairs.

She doesn’t want to be the second,
third, or next one anymore…

Memories remain
– those tangles of common time
and regret that
he always went back to where
he came from.

He was everything to her,
she
– a variety to the monotony.

Szeleszczą w niej wspomnienia,
ale wie, że
on jest tam, gdzie jego miejsce –
przy tej, której nie kocha, a z nią jest,
przy tej,
którą zdradza.

Wykąpany, wypoczęty,
gotowy na nowe doznania,
każdego dnia
wychodził załatwiać sprawy.

Nie chce już być tą drugą,
trzecią, kolejną…

Pozostały wspomnienia
– te sploty wspólnego czasu
i żal, że
zawsze wracał tam, skąd przychodził.

Był dla niej wszystkim,
ona
– urozmaiceniem monotonii.
