The Limitless Heart

The Limitless Heart

written by: Christina Stewart

Beneath my ribs, a sea swells,
its waves unending, untamed.
carrying the wreckage of every storm
and the quiet of every sunrise.

When I feel your touch, its walls dissolve,
my fears crumbling into warmth,
the tender quake of barriers breaking,
letting in all that was once held out.

Touch me, answer me without hesitation.
A mirror bearing scars of shadows,
it spills light, as if pain itself
were the soil where love takes root.

This heart of mine is no fortress, no safe.
It overflows.
holding jagged edges in soft palms,
whispering love into cracks too deep
for words to reach.

There is no end to what it gives,
no measure for what it bears.
Its beat is quiet defiance,
a hymn to all that endures.
In its stillness, it teaches me
how limitless we are
when we let ourselves be seen.
