This Light Goes With Me

This light goes with me,
everywhere; — in the middle
of my sleep; in the cleavages of hills
I climb; to the crematorium; and
shanties, I often visit for
charity.
This light accompanied me
in narrow lanes between
old buildings;
in football grounds. It has
the power to make me happy,
illuminated, proud.
But this light does not have
the courage to make a begging
bowl visible; to tear apart
gloom in daily chores. This light
always failed to accompany me
through difficult cobwebs;
and sudden melancholy.
