To the Maker of the View

written by: JAnn Bowers

The colors of dawn
Shine through my window bay
The soft chill of fall
Whispers gently in my ear

The soft tender yellows of leaves
Speak of solitude and peace
As they trickle down

The rustic browns
Of shimmered light
Beacons through the trees with delight

The bright orange of the sunrise
As I smell of pumpkin and spice
Steaming from my morning brew

As dawn drew
I say a thank you
To the maker of the view.
