To The Other Woman

To The Other Woman

written by: Elizabeth Palmer Kellogg

Love is not love
when it is not love
not love when it sounds like lust
lisps like lips

you cut out my heart
thinking you are in
and I am out
well he is out I am in

and I will break you open
to the fury of hell
that hath not seen
a woman like me

I’ll watch you crash
burn your heart
sear your soul to dust-unto-dust-unto-dust
you will have no rest
my screams his silence
will deafen you
