I lie here quietly,
wondering if she sleeps,
or perhaps does she dream?
Is she lying there now,
listening?
Still halfway between?
Am I the one who walks,
along those paths in her mind?
Whispering silken promises,
as she does to me,
in mine.
Vincent Smith is I.T. guy who sometimes dresses up as Captain Jack Sparrow for Renaissance Festivals and Comic Conventions. He has resided in 22 different states and multiple countries in his lifetime but has set his roots in Texas. A United States Air Force veteran, father, and husband. While Vincent does like to write on occasion, his hobbies include art, guitar, and creating costumes.
