While training as a psychotherapist at the Metanoia Institute, Daisy is a full-time addiction counsellor and a part-time figure-skating poet. With degrees in Social Neuroscience and Psychology (UCL), she's always been captivated by the human mind and our search for truth. This fascination, combined with experiences of addiction, dysfunction, academia, healing and love, is the driving force behind her writing. Proficient in British Sign Language, Daisy loves exploring ways to break down communication barriers between people, whether they are linguistic, psychological, sociopolitical or idealogical. She additionally has a great interest in etymology, linguistic relativity and the phenomenon of lost words; the Beat Generation; and existential relational psychotherapy. She has been published in a poetry anthology (Brainstorms, Little Episodes Publishing, 2009) and in the inaugural issue of an online literary journal (Wildness).
