Butterflies

Butterflies

written by: John Drudge

I stand at the door
And knock
A sharp step clatters
On the tile
Down a hall
As the door opens
On her smiling
And I rejoice
In the battle
Between
Humans and Angels
And the bewildering
Effervescence
Of lingering
Youth
