Christmas in my world

I hear a whoosh from somewhere
far out there in the sky
A glimpse of bright red shadows
outside windows
way up high
As children running
bright cheeked
post letters
in the square
The carousel casts
mighty spells
wool hats on floating hair
Hot chocolate means it’s
Christmas
in hands melting the chill
and wrapping presents badly
give giggles a sweet thrill.
