Cracklin Rosie

The elevator elongates behind her
Eerie portal to her kind of eternity
She guards the passage
Ghoulish red wine
Black pepper bodice
Arms spectrally stretching
Welcome
To
My world.
Can you hear me
Swallow my scream
As fire erupts beneath
Taffeta red skirts
Who is watching my back
I turn to face a mirror
At her grinning apparition
Crackling Rosy stares
Deadly red-black….
And … I sink

Before the queen of the night

As

My world goes black.

I'm a housewife living in India. I am also a mother of two boys. A dreamer, overthinker, who feels and writes passionately.
