How To Find It?

How To Find It?

written by: Uzma Afreen

The dragons of Heaven
With chrysanthemum heads
Guard the gateway to paradise
The great golden gates
Where Timelessness dwells
Under eternal Light.
The dawn in your eyes
The Light of the Beloved
Shines with a radiance
That touches my soul
Drowning in love
With you I am whole
The moon sails the night
Queen of the darkness
With her pale silver light
As she scuts the clouds
Bringer of dreams
Who watches us dream.
I long for your voice
Soft words of comfort
A balm for my heart
That aches for your touch
Aches with a hunger
That has never been slaked.
Spring rises from winter
New life from death
In cycles reborning
The seed sprouts a shoot.
Where does love abide,
In what house does it dwell,
No place can contain it
We breathe it like air.

Uzma Afreen

Uzma lives through poetry. Basically her style is simple, direct and reflective. Poems are life, in every possible way. Inclined to love participating in literary activities. Content writer, linguistics graduate, crazy, wild, solitude-loving, sweet-disaster with a young spirit. A true nazrites currently pursuing M.A in Linguistics from Aligarh Muslim University. She is someone who does not write thoughts, but rather someone who writes down the entire conversation that goes on between her and her inner mind, writing and publishing not just for the present generation. Though being an extrovert, she has never sought to impress another person with the extent of her knowledge or her language skills. Uzma personally feels more than a mystery writer, she is much more a sharer who in some ways has become willingly a prisoner of herself.
