I am Not Everything
written by: JahArt Kushite
i am not everything
you think i am
i stay awake lingering
early hours of a.m.
i am a crumbled soul
blowing in gusts of life
vexed and perplexed
under shadows of strife
i am not close to
perfection either
i drift from reality
in distances farther
i am a soul you
lay bare
and act as if you
care
i am weary
my eyes teary
i am a forsaken
child
lost in the wild
i am a grain of sand
flowing in
hourglass of time
your give away piece
of a dime
