Jack-o’-Lantern

Jack-o’-Lantern

This Halloween
The sky may well appear
The colour of the carved-out pumpkin’s eye
Perhaps not time to celebrate
But high time that we start to question why
Orange?
The colour of
2000 degrees
A pumpkin
Armageddon, a
Unique brand of fake-tan;
Who is the Jack-o’-Lantern
At the heart of all this horrorshow?
Well, don’t ask me, I wouldn’t know!
I’ll leave the answer up to you.
Nor could I guess his heart’s desire:
Perhaps to set the world on fire?
Please stop him, if you can.
