Too many years passed
And the details, I remember up until the last
Those moments spent together, gone too soon, too fast
But I can still see your face
I can still trace the smiles, they won’t be erased
Moments shared, I’ll always remember even in my waking days
Your hands, nimble but full of grace
Warms my heart with every short embrace
Never will I ever love anyone as much as I have loved you
Mama, you have always been so true
And I speak my love as if you are still here
Deep inside, I feel you are always near
Gone but will never be forgotten
Mama, my love, my eden…
I am a 47 year old single mom to two teenagers, trying to keep my office survival in spite of the pandemic...writing poems has always been a passion for me...I scribble them down on little notes but still for my eyes only...writing poetry has been my outlet in letting go of emotions that tend to wear me down; it is also my constant companion when I find myself alone and waiting for someone or something. I was born in Angeles City, Philippines, with a degree in bachelor of science in accountancy.
