Mona Lisa

written by: Imeon504

Never had the face that could launch a thousand ships
Nor that Mona Lisa smile to make you glance a while
Not even a body to die for that can melt your insides
But I know my worth, I know I am good enough
For someone willing to take a chance on me
I am loyal honest and true
But I guess those qualities don’t count anymore
I want someone to look at me and see me
For whatever I am and not for whatever I should be
As dictated by a society born on fallacies
I am who I am
A fiery red, a nasty negative
But capable of love and care
I guess people do not really care anymore
