Memories of You

written by: Cindy Georgakas

Love falls softly in my lap
as silkworms land in my hair.
Pictures woven into nests of silk,
bosoms bare, serving love and feeding bellies.

Each strand, woven in a tapestry of perfection.
Seasons brought new adventures;
swinging off a trapeze or floating down the river.

And now I sit, looking at your photographs of sun kissed days
and starlit nights.
Unpacking each undulation,
lovingly and tenderly as cocoons turn into butterflies
and sweep my face in sweet embrace.
