One More Song

written by: Don Knowles

One song ain't enough
Play another for the brothers
Sing one about your sister
The one who fell in love too late
Play that tune for old time sake
Make it quake
Make it roll and Rock
I'll  stamp my feet
I'll shake my head
Way too early to go off to bed
No one song ain't enough
Rip the chords out from the air
Flats and minors everywhere
Play like you haven't a care
No one song won't be enough
No one song ain't enough
Now raise the noise
There goes the roof
I'll yell it loud
To give you proof
I'll say it proud
I'll say it again
No one song ain't enough
One song
Ain't enough
No "one" song won't be enough

My writing is typically written while I'm on a treadmill, so I call myself "the treadmill poet!"

Born in West Chester Pa in 1960 I have been inspired to begin writing again through my interactions with two people I care deeply about that are experiencing the torrents of mental illness.
