S.O.S. The Titanic

On the night Titanic sank
Scintillation cloaked the skies
Cold entombed the mighty ship
Eerie silence certain doom
Danger lurked on quiet seas
Collision course glacier unseen
Veiled horizon moonless night
Camouflaged in cold mirage
Warnings came in frantic clicks
Flashing lights sent deck to deck
S.O.S. was coded Morse
Californian did ignore
Murphy’s Law did reign supreme
on that fateful April night
Lost to all S.S. did sink
Captain’s calls had sealed its fate
Endless searching
Blame and shame
Human error
Tragic end

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
