Seaweed Goddess

I swam in water shadows
rippling
dragging me
from God knows where
My skin turned fallow
water lapped
slowly
combing
my wily hair
A Seaweed Goddess
beckoned me
to search
her lonely gleaming caves
I saw her bodice
of pearly shells
and kisses
from all the men
she’d saved.
