1. Where, do you hail from?

I was born in a church basement in the middle of South Dakota, which I am told I tried to burn down.

2. What is the greatest thing about the place you call home?

my love of the sonoran desert, complete with sky islands, knows no bounds. people often ask me what is on my bucket list, and really there is nothing I would rather do than explore some new or familiar wonder of creation right here in upper sonora

3. What turns you on creatively?

meditating, quiet, silence, nature, some chance encounter with a creature, long walks, all of these create a blissful window through which perhaps I catch a glimpse, this delights

4. What is your favorite word, and can you use it in a poetic sentence?

cranky curmudgeons full frontal facades for fools pen pithy poems

5. What is your pet peeve?

fundamentalists, republicans, intentional ignorance and selfishness

6. What defines huntersjames? 

learning, music and family and lazy days, selected at random intervals with a wicked sense of humor by some mysterious force that one day will vanquish all that is pain and suffering
