I feel, Therefore I hurt,
I write, and so I bleed,
Emotions are in tune,
With other people’s needs,
Mentally writhing in pain,
at all the suffering,
Weeping on my pillow,
endless drops of salty rain,
Looking for the rainbow,
Behind this cloudy stain,
Of stigma, and all that’s perverse,
Desperate to make sense,
Of this somber universe,
Healing from past wounds,
And ghosts of playground bullies,
Trying to be cheerful,
Instead of feeling sullied,
I feel therefore I hurt,
At times it seems surreal,
And then the sun comes out,
And temporarily, I heal.
