The Last Time

Crisp white sheets and sun playing through the window, casting shadows on your skin.
You pulled the blankets over our heads and I giggled as you climbed on top of me.
This is the last time you were inside me.
The last time I felt the safety of your intimate embrace.
The love we made was urgent, we fed off each others need...

and because neither of us knew that this would be the last time the memory is bitter sweet.
