This Love

This Love

There’s a love who sees the deepest pains
The ones you can’t even begin to name
The silent groans that linger long
That seem to stir the sorrowed song.

That love is near to hold you tight
To grip you when your heart does cry
To be the shoulder of steady strength
When your body is tired and weak.

I pray this love I’ve come to know
Strokes your hair with Heaven’s comb
Walks and talks you through the rain
And sends you signs of grace today.
