Yesterday

There was a day
When I looked to the sky
And its gorgeous beauty allowed the suns glowing rays to shine down
Landing gently on my rugged shoulders
There was a day
Where the air was made of perfume
Fragrant and refreshing to the senses
There was a day
When the cool breeze hugged my side
Coddling me to a distant land
There was a day
A day where I loved
But it is not this day
Or the next day
On this day
The sky is as black as the ravens feathers
The air pungent with the smell of false dreams
And the wind, is a heckle of emphatic memories
On this day,
I scorn the day known as yesterday
