A Scorched Love

written by: Eric Roberts

"The red headed vixen creeps her talons deep within my chest,
Twisting her hand making me beg for her name,
Fallen like a slave to her will
Loathing the fragrance of her perfume,
As it mocks me with its pungent aroma,
A dance with death as her talons grip tighter,
Spewing love
Gushing violently from the abyss in my chest,
She promised to love me,
Yet she crawled through grass,
Infected me with venom,
With hatred
Crippled at the feet of my master,
Succumbed to the will of the fiery
headed mistress
Only a shell remains,
A reminder of a scorched love"
