  1. Where, do you hail from?
I was born in Baltimore, Maryland but live in Ellicott City, Maryland. It’s an old mill town and the place I grew up since the late 1970’s.
  1. What is the greatest thing about the place you call home?

It’s one of the most diverse cities and communities in the nation. We have a multi-dynamic community that believes that taking care of the community is one of the noblest aspects of living anywhere in the U.S.A.

  1. What turns you on creatively?

Listening to music, reading from great poets and writers, and constantly exploring new techniques to try when writing poetry.

  1. What is your favorite word, and can you use it in a poetic sentence?

Serendipity is my favorite word.

Serendipity, serendipity! Shout it from the mountain tops; your arrival brings endless joy and comfort to my soul. Let the floodgates open wide and rejoice!

  1. What is your pet peeve?

Dishonesty and lack of moral scruples.

  1. What defines Sunmy Brown?

I want all of humanity to love one another and treat others with kindness. Spread the love and encourage others always. Bring endless joy into someone’s life. Pay it forward whenever you can. When you have been given much, you have a responsibility to give that much more.
