When You Branch Out

When You Branch Out

Branches
Tangled souls all of one living entity
Stretching towards the solar solace
Meandering like a stream
Longing to launch a bloom or leaf
Then sending it back upon the earth
The essence of dirt receiving it as a gift
Like the comfort of a woven blanket
Cotton clouds are the canvas backdrop
Birds want to add themselves to the plot
Of this scene of universal splendor
The breeze dares to tap it
Like it is testing its validity
The leaves talk back to the wind
As an earthy telepathy
If we listen in silence, we can hear their conversations
It is as authentic as the aura that surrounds the body
Leaves wave in uncertainty but they are valiant and see the value in letting go
Relief and release
That is the beauty of a tree in winter
It is the season of its own realm
The leaves breathe, rising, falling
Just as our own lungs do
Just as a fairy wings too
Even when the sun is hiding its visage
The tree steals the scene
I rejoice in knowing that I am on the same timeline thread as a tree with the winter branches and leaves.
