society relishes conformity
falseness keeping you a prisoner
locked away within yourself
acting a play within a play
performers confirm the delusion
buried deep in the subplot

understand
love
love the make-believe
lust the fantasy; loathe the truth
better the lie for all to stomach
fraud
abstract
invention
i am me behind the mask a breathing soul
living found within layers of life
exposed
flaws
truth
we live a deception in a world not real
fake
fallacy
hallucination
the illusion that all is good
the ultimate illusion
Hiking, canoe tripping as well as other outdoor adventure activities, can be seen as a metaphor for living. Both are journey’s filled with scores of good and not so good steps. Highs and lows; successes and failures.
Over the years, have realized that spending time in the outdoors pursuing whatever type of outdoor activity you choose opens up a wonderful and life-changing array of lessons on living and ourselves if, we are willing to stop, observe and listen.
