Death of The Poet

I shall die in a mourning
rainy autumn dusk
i shall leave without a warning
i wonder if anyone will ask

In a chamber cold and vacant
with furniture worn and rented
lived a whole life latent
an existence only invented

Among my books i shall be found
on my soul’s latest torment
hearing rain’s hollow sound
written on the clouds was a portent

And i shall be burried
without a tombstone
a passing brief and hurried
someone with past unknown
