Anatomy of Guilt

Pain surreal sneaks
Snaking innards
Acid corrode
Tears.
Burnt patches.
Burnt bridges.
Vaporized moats.
Lifeboat or hearse
Dear Lady of Shallot?
I know how much I have hurt you.
It hurts.
More than I can comprehend.
I cannot handle this surplus
Of grief,
Some mistakes are not forgiven.
They are purged
And daily reborn The
Endings Shudder
Dreads the next contraction.
There’s no sweet baby
At the end of this road.
You birth only corpses.

I'm a housewife living in India. I am also a mother of two boys. A dreamer, overthinker, who feels and writes passionately.
