Christmas
written by: Ian Fletcher
Who now believes in Santa Claus
or that the storied Three Wise Men
witnessed a virgin birth in Bethlehem
which brought peace and joy to earth?
Who has faith in the Christmas spirit
that evaporates and fades away
too soon after Boxing Day?
When all’s been said and done
isn’t it just an annual delusion
mere false cheer to end each year?
Yet there’s something about the season
that transcends our rhyme and reason
so God bless every one of us
who celebrates this Christmas!
