Death is Everywhere

written by: Jasmin Mödlhammer

@Asthalos

My body is shaking
What did I expect?
I chose to come here
Alone, in the dark

I'm wandering along the path
The path of what I have left behind
Death is everywhere
It's hunting me, grunting

They snarl, they try to catch me
But I'm on my mission
My mission to stay alive
To escape this never-ending nightmare

I keep holding on
That someone is out there
I know I'm not alone
Not alone in the dark

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
A little poem for my favorite day of the year.

I guess two quotes of my favorite author describes me the most:

"I write because it fulfills me. I do it for the pure joy of the living and if you can do it for joy, you can do it forever." - Stephen King

"Quiet people have the loudest minds." - Stephen King
