Halloween Dreams

Halloween thoughts in every mind, children
Dressing up in frightening masks and costumes,
My heart goes up high and high in the sky, meets
My forefathers all together, around me, with me
I’m astonished to see their souls, so beautiful,
Filled in me, in my heart; spontaneous flow of
Music from my soul, I start dancing with them,
The souls around me, so strong, lift me and take
Me to heaven where I see most of the dead ones
Singing and dancing, I start singing again and they
Dance, every step they take is musical, I am lost
In the ecstasy, everything vanished in a moment.
I start descending down and down to the hell
Where I see some of the dead, the souls are
Tortured, weeping with excruciating pain, highly
Painful to see it, I turned my face and landed on
The graveyard of my fathers and mothers, lighted
Candles, I sat there in solitude, I talked to the
Beautiful souls, a long conversation, fulfillment
Of joy caressed my soul, I started singing greatness
Of my dead fathers and mothers, they kissed
My soul all the time, what a joy which I haven’t
Experienced before; now I’m out of Halloween
Dreams, I‘m at home, fully engaged in activities,
Attending costume parties, lighting bonfires and
Playing pranks, I remember all dead saints, and
Martyrs, I enjoy eating the soul cake prepared by
Me; what a delight to have wonderful time with
Departed souls, the most thrilling time, I enjoyed.
