If Only I Could...

written by: Madhumita Sinha

I wish I could claim to be a wordsmith
Weaving beautiful creations from my heart
As I know how to paint emotions
With my verses galore
On the blank canvas of life
I would call myself a poetess
Because I make many a hearts
Flutter in joy and happiness
Truly resonating with my creations
As I could also be a soothing balm
Healing many broken hearts with my verses
I could put a lot of troubled minds at calm
With my words easing their pain
Like a blissful shower of rain
I would call myself a wordsmith
If only I could bring a smile on
Faces which read my poetry.
