It happened one night

Twas quite nonchalant.
A clear summer’s night, I stepped out to dine.
Table for one, a window, a view
a salad, some wine, a little dessert.
I lifted my eyes to take in the world,
with hope in my heart, encountered your gaze.
Magnetic connection, our souls intertwined.
Engulfed in a haze, the world disappeared.
A lifetime of feelings, silently said.
Chance meeting thought I,
not really, perhaps.
Destiny’s fate awaited us there.
Impromptu decision,
unplanned rendezvous.
Cosmic encounter,
it happened one night.

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
