Rejection

Rejection

written by: Habeeb Ajinifesin

You appeared in my dream.
To what do I owe the pleasure.
It was a dream come true within a dream
In present, yet living in a fantasized future.

You came from nowhere like a fly.
You seemed so true like a lie.
And no matter how hard I try.
I am just a ground reaching for the sky.

What are those words you say?
“O boy, you are not my type”
What if I become clay?
With you, I will spend the rest of my life.

You would toy with my feelings if there is an “us”.
Well, who cares, let’s sprout this seed of love by force.
