 Renaissance Unfair

written by: Erica Kirk

Mentally unwell girl,
have you taken your meds?

Your memories are snakes,
your thoughts have three heads.

You’ve booked yourself
a one-way ticket for the River Styx.

Your personalities
are all a bunch of raving lunatics.

You enjoy reading myths
about Athena, sometimes Zeus.

Soon you will fasten
yourself a strong swinging noose.

Mentally unwell girl,
this is your last chance.

Life has been a tragedy,
but death is no romance.
