Shadow

Out for a walk.
Sun shining on my back.
Look down.
See a long leggy Shadow,
Long shadow hair moving,
Shadow dress billowing,
Shadow moves as
I move.
Lift my foot,
Shadow moves with me.
The shadow is my Shadow.
The Shadow is mine.
I now cast a
Woman’s Shadow.
I no longer appear
as a Shade.
