The Castle
written by: Doug Donnan
Its battlements are now abandoned,
a wind whistles throughout the halls
The lax ivy climbs at its patient pace
and does blanket the hallowed walls
Proud furnishings of the regal palace
now just sadly disheveled and rotten
No more are the days of knighthood,
alas but only memories all forgotten.
