Svelte and pallor
Creeping the corridor
His head snaps with a gaze
Reddish and glazed

Celerity accompanies
This creature of night
Who conjures terror
Sending mortals in flight

Feasting on those
Who are very much living
Chilled to the touch
With blood as its drive

“Nosferatu” they scream
“Demon” they cry
Far from the truth
But far from a lie
